Cabot's EasyDeck™ is a clean and coat maintenance system designed to refresh the look of your timber decking so you can keep it looking great all year round between regular protective coating intervals with Cabot's Aquadeck.
Cabot’s EasyDeck™ is designed for application over existing water-based coatings that are in good condition.
Getting Started
Before you begin, give the deck a quick sweep to get rid of dust, leaves and loose dirt. Then fit the applicator pad to the head and twist the pole until it feels solid.
Shake and Load
Grab the Cabot’s EasyDeck™ Maintenance Coat bottle and give it a proper shake for a full minute. Swap the cap with the nozzle, then firmly place the bottle into the applicator and twist to ensure it is docked.
Apply the Coat
Unlock the trigger and give the handle a few pumps to soak the pad. Start at one end of the deck and work your way along the boards with smooth, even strokes. Don’t flood the timber — a light, even coat is all you need. You might see a bit of foaming around the pad, but that settles as it dries.
Drying Time
Allow 40 minutes for the coating to dry before it’s ready to walk on. That means you can give it a coat in the afternoon and still have the barbecue going before sundown.
Cleaning Up
When you’re done, take the bottle out and cap it again. Rinse the nozzle and pad under running water until they’re clean. Pump clean water through the applicator to flush it out, then leave everything to dry before storing.
Keeping It Looking Good
Cabot’s EasyDeck™ is designed for regular upkeep rather than full restoration. Think of it as a quick refresh between your annual protective coatings. You can reapply every month or so, depending on how much use your deck gets. If you’ve just used Cabot’s Aquadeck or another protective coating, wait at least a month before topping it up with Cabot’s EasyDeck™.
