Makita has developed their Quasar Segmented Diamond Blade with a combination of high segmentation and a thicker than conventional blade body for even wear rate and sharp cutting edges. The 12mm high segment creates a more flexible blade, which is less likely to break when working with hard materials. The 3mm thick blade body is thick enough to support a higher number of segments resulting in a larger surface area for longer-lasting use.
