How Mitre 10's extension of Design 10 works to help with your business

Back in August, we sat down for a chat with the team at Design 10, getting to know how they help builders get the job done from fixture to fit out. How? By being experts in everything from fittings to fixtures, with showrooms offering whole-of-house solutions.

This month, we’re taking a look at the customer’s point of view. We spoke to a regional business about their experience working with the Design 10 team, and how it fit in with the other services their local Mitre 10 offers.

First off, tell us about yourselves! What business are you in, and what services do you offer?

We’re custom home builders in Regional Victoria, Bendigo. All of our homes are custom built, which gives our clients the flexibility to select and customise their home interior and exterior selections to suit their individual needs.

How do you use Mitre 10 Trade for your business?
All of our trade supplies are purchased and sourced through Mitre 10 Trade. We use our local supplier (Golden City Mitre 10). Their service is always exceptional, providing the products we trust to build our homes with.

What Design 10 services are you currently using in your build?
Our Nagambie project is an architectural custom home build, focusing on sustainability and an environmentally-efficient performance home. We engaged Design 10 for the interior fittings, and Mitre 10 suppliers for the exterior Charred Timber (Shou Sugi Ban).

Why did you decide to use Design 10’s services in your build?
Our interior designer at Evolv engaged with Design 10 because our client wanted the experience of seeing the products on offer and selecting from a variety.

Design 10 offered everything that our clients were looking for, and the customer service and product knowledge is always of a high standard. There was no hesitation in taking our clients to Design 10 for their selections.

What do you like about Design 10 and what has it been like to work with the team?

The team’s product knowledge, personal walk-throughs, attention to detail and follow-up has been really impressive. From both a builder’s and interior designer’s point of view, the product range and performance is something that keeps us coming back to Design 10 for our clients.
