Introduction
Built by Families
Something that you may not know is that the majority of Mitre 10 stores are family owned and run. That means they go the extra mile for their communities.
Built by Families is a new series that tells the stories of proud local family businesses.
Johnson Bros. Mitre 10, Northern Beaches, NSW
Nothing by Halves
John and Bob Johnson started off with a small hardware business in the Northern Beaches of Sydney in 1955 and built it up into the thriving business it is today.
Community was always close to the hearts of John and Bob – both long time and active members of their local fire brigade and Lions Club. Both had 10 kids each and many of them are still working in the business today.
John Johnson’s emphasis on dependability and strong values are a legacy that his sons and daughters carry on proudly to this day.
