How
Choose a sunny, well-drained position. Work in lime and Yates Blood & Bone before planting. Sow into damp soil direct where they are to grow. Cover with Yates Seed Raising Mix and firm down. Do not water for a couple of days after sowing.
Care
For best results begin applying Yates Thrive Soluble Flower & Fruit Plant Food when flower buds form. Dwarf (bush) Peas do not require trellis to climb on, but a low support (to 50cm) may be beneficial. Pick young peas regularly for maximum yield and flavour. Protect from snails and slugs with Yates Blitzem.
Hint
Great companion plant for beans, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, cabbage, celery, lettuce and radish. Avoid overwatering - seeds may rot before germination if soil is too wet. Water at base of plant, rather than overhead, to minimise risk of disease. At end of harvest, dig spent plants into the soil to add extra organic nitrogen.
Thriving in home gardens, this early-maturing dwarf pea variety delivers an abundant harvest of sweet-flavoured peas. Its compact growth makes it ideal for smaller spaces while still producing impressively large pods filled with tender, delicious peas. Perfect for fresh eating, cooking, or freezing, this high-yielding variety ensures a steady supply of nutritious and flavourful produce. With its natural resilience and reliable performance, it’s a great choice for gardeners looking to maximise their yield in a shorter growing period.
