Blundstone’s toughest and most advanced range yet. Every cutting-edge component has been trialled and tested to bring you the ultimate in safety and comfort.

The Workfit range is where value meets safety. It offers a Comfort Air PU footbed and SPS Max XRD® Technology—providing increased support in the heel strike zone.

Some jobs don’t require a safety toe cap. But that doesn’t mean your boots shouldn’t be as tough as nails. Blundstone’s non-safety work boots will keep you comfortable doing anything from weekend gardening to light industrial work.

Made in Tasmania, Blundstone’s gumboots will keep your feet dry in wet and muddy conditions. Not only are they fully waterproof, they also offer excellent slip and abrasion resistance.

Tip for choosing fit-for-purpose footwear

Understanding the difference between steel and composite toe caps

While steel remains the safest toe cap available when cut resistance is required, a composite toe cap provides the same compression-resistance as steel with both tested to 200-joule impact.

Composite toe caps offer wearers other benefits when cut-resistance isn’t required--they are lightweight, airport-friendly and less conductive to hot and cold environments.

What to wear when a safety toe isn’t required

Blundstone offers a range of non-safety work boots for those who don’t require a safety toe cap.

These boots offer the quality, durability and comfort Blundstone is known for, with features including:

  • Elastic-sides: for convenient, easy-on, easy-off wear.
  • SPS Max: XRD® Technology in the heel strike zone for increased impact protection.
  • Durable TPU outsole: fuel-oil resistant, heat resistant to 140˚C and slip resistant.

What does “anti-static” mean?

Anti-static footwear is used to minimise electrostatic accumulation by conducting electrostatic body charge to the ground. This reduces the risk of spark ignition from flammable substances and vapours, and where the risk of electric shock has not been eliminated. Anti-static footwear provides a reduced level of protection against electrical hazards compared to Electrical Hazard footwear.

The electrical resistance of anti-static footwear can be changed significantly by flexing, contamination or moisture. This footwear might not perform its intended function if worn in wet conditions or over long periods of time, if the sole is altered or damaged or dirt inhibits the contact points. That’s why it’s important that the boot can dissipate electrostatic charges and offer a high level of protection during its lifetime. Blundstone recommend regular in-house tests for electrical resistance.

Getting to know the different sole types

Blundstone’s Work & Safety range offers several soling types, suitable for a range of environments. Understanding the features and benefits of each is key when selecting the correct footwear.

  • PU: Polyurethane - a cellular material used as a lightweight, cushioning soling material.
  • PUR: A PU midsole with a nitrile rubber outsole. It has enhanced qualities for cut, abrasion and slip resistance and offers heat-resistance up to 300°C.
  • TPU: Thermoplastic urethane polyurethane, is a high-density outsole that has outstanding abrasion resistant properties with a soft density polyurethane cushion midsole to enhance impact absorption. TPU soles are heat-resistant to 140°C.
