Dulux Concrete & Paving Sealed Surface Primer is the second stage in preparing the surface for the finishing coat. It is formulated for use over any existing coating to reinforce the surface for optimal adhesion of subsequent coats of paint.
Application tools: 15mm nap roller, roller frame with an extension pole, roller tray, 50 to 65mm brush
Touch Dry: 30 mins Fully Dry: 2 hours
Step 1 – Safety first. Wear suitable protective clothing, including chemical-resistant gloves and eyewear, when mixing and applying the product
Step 2 – Sweep the surface clean
Step 3 – Pressure wash the surface, removing any dirt and loose materials. Wait for the surface to be free of pooled water
Step 4 – Add all of the Part B material, found in the tube under the cap into the can and mix thoroughly with a flat stirrer for 1-2 minutes. NOTE: Once you have added the Part B material the product needs to be used within 3 days
Step 5 – Using the roller and brush for any edges and hard-to-reach places, apply 1 coat of Dulux Concrete and Paving Sealed Surface Primer evenly across the surface and allow to dry
You are now ready to apply any Dulux Concrete & Paving Stage 3 – Finishing coat.
*Due to the uneven nature of this surface, there will be localised premature wear and tear in some high areas of the surface. This may require a shorter maintenance schedule than other flat surfaces.
